Fascinating Facts---Did You Know---


.If you are sensitive to aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), you should be aware that certain foods contain high amount of natural salicylates and could potentially cause an allergic reaction. These include almonds, apples, apricots, black and boysenberries, cherries, cucumbers, grapes, oranges, peaches, pickles, and tomatoes.

.What's the temperature of your Wash Water? Dust mites on washable fabrics will die if the material is washed in water that is at least 130 degrees F.

.Second Hand smoke can trigger as asthma attack and aggravate symptoms in people with allergies.

You can clean your home naturally and reduce the chance of accidental poisoning attributed to cleaning products.--Instead try:
--Disinfectant: 1 1/2 C of Borax in 1 gallon of HOT water, or 10 drops grapefruit seed extract in 1 gallon WARM water.
--Fabric Softener: 1/4 C vinegar added to rinse water
--Furniture Polish: 2 T olive oil mixed with 1 T vinegar and poured into 1 QT warm water. Keep in a spray bottle. To use heat in a bucket of hot water. (Test a small area first)
--Laundry whitener: Borax
--Scouring powder: Baking soda on a sponge
--Stain Remover: Hydrogen peroxide, sea salt, or lemon juice (test a hidden area first for color fastness)
--Glass Cleaner: 1/2 C vinegar in 1 gallon water

.Amazing fact: Pollen has been found floating in the air 400 miles out at sea and 2 miles up in the sky.

.Dehydration is bad for everyone, especially those with allergies--Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day to help eliminate irritants and toxins from the body. To determine what is optimal for you, take your weight in pounds, multiply by .04, which equals pounds of water lost. Multiply that by 2, to determine the number of cups you need per day.

.Stock up on Allergy-Fighting Superfoods: Apples, broccoli, Borage oil, ginger and turmeric spices, Spirulina, yogurt and zinc-rich foods like tofu, lentils and legumes, and crab.

.Little Known Asthma Triggers: Perfumes, Scented soaps, Food additives (sulfites), Mice, and Pine resin from Christmas trees.

    never knew how lucky i am to have been afforded this gravitational energy to combat free radicals. thanks! an aspirin a day at least 81mg is a constant for a healthy heart and works wonders for aging pets too!
