Cruciferous Vegetables and Umbelliferous Vegetables

Cruciferous Vegetables include broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, turnips, kohlrabi, Brussels sprouts, kale, collards, mustard greens, and turnip greens. The phytochemcials that make cruciferous vegetables stand out are : Indoles- antiestrogenic activity potentially reducing risk of related cancers; Isothiocyanates (including sulforaphane): anticancer activity.
