Juicing

Raw fruits and vegetables contain an abundance of natural juices that can help dissolve impurities in the body.  fresh-pressed juice is better than commercial, pasteurized juice, because pasteurization involves heating to a high temperature, which destroys a juice's enzymes and breaks down many of its nutrients.
Because it is extracted from fruits and vegetables, juice contains many of their nutrients but not the fiber.  It is easy for the body to assimilate and does not burden the digestive system.  Juice can oxidize quickly and should be consumed with a few minutes of extraction.  They should be sipped slowly, however, for optimal digestion.  Gulping down juice bypasses the first agents of the digestive process: the digestive enzymes in saliva.

Avoid peeling fruits and vegetables with edible skins, such as apples and carrots, because in many cases the peels have unique nutritive components; also, some of the organisms that produce vitamin B12 are often found on the skins.  Do peel those fruits and vegetables with touch or inedible skins, such as bananas, beets, avocados, and waxed produce.

Jack Lalanne Juicer.  He definitely knew a thing or two.  I'd pay attention to this amazing man.
