For Danielle and Her Man. Guidelines for Vital Health










Cleansing Foods-

All fresh fruits and vegetables
Sprouts and sprouted seeds
Sprouted grains and legumes
Buckwheat, sunflower greens
Essene crackers
Fresh wheatgrass juice
Fresh vegetable juices
Gazpacho (cold soup)
Borscht (cold soup)
Avocado

Transitional Foods-

Almond milk, seed milk
Quinoa, millet
Oatmeal, brown rice
Cooked beans (sprout first)
Baked sweet potato, baked yam
Vegetable soup
Lightly steamed vegetables
Tortilla (corn) organic corn only
Avocado (1/2 daily)
Soaked or ground nuts
Dried fruits (soaked)
Nut butters

Avoid these foods-

Red meat, poultry
Fish or seafood
Milk, cheese, eggs
Coffee, tea, soft drinks
Tobacco, alcohol
Oils, fried foods
Bread, cakes, cookies
Sugar, honey, molasses
Artificial sweeteners
Salt
Processed soy foods, tofu, tempeh
Soy milk, etc.

Be sure to drink Water!

Transit time: The amount of time it takes food to stay in the stomach.
Water 0-10 minutes
Juice 15-30 minutes
Fruit and melons 30-60 minutes
Sprouts 60 minutes
Wheatgrass juice 60-90 minutes
Most vegetables 1-2 hours
Grains and beans 1-2 hours
Dense vegetables protein-avocado, seeds, nuts (not sprouted) dairy 2-3 hours
Cooked meat, fish and other animal proteins 3-4 hours
Shellfish 4-8 hours.
