When it comes to weight loss, butter and cream can be either your best friends or your worst enemies. Because butter and cream are fats, they're a storehouse for pesticides and antibiotics if they're made from commercially farmed, grain-fed animals. When these products are made from grass-fed and organically raised animals, however, they are an excellent source of fat-burning conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). So if you can find butter and cream made from grass-fed, organically raised cows, enjoy them. But stay away from all non- organic butter and cream.
