Pectin

Pectin is a type of soluble fiber that can help reduce cholesterol and inhibit diabetes by slowing the digestive and absorption of carbohydrates, thus preventing rapid blood sugar elevation.  Pectin may also prevent malignant (cancerous) cells from clumping together.

Apples, bananas, blueberries, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbages, carrots, cauliflower, figs ( fresh and dried), grapefruit, Lima beans, mustard greens, onions, turnip green, and watercress.
